Able to support both full-day and half-day shoots, scheduled as needed Aurelius is seeking a highly capable, reliable contract videographer in the Austin area to support corporate, executive, and event-related video productions. This role is ideal for a hands-on visual storyteller who can independently deliver polished, professional footage and bring a strong production sensibility to interviews, talking-head videos, and corporate content. The selected videographer will be expected to own the on-set capture process, from camera and lighting setup through high-quality audio recording, and collaborate closely with Aurelius's project and creative teams to produce content that feels premium, natural, and on-brand. Responsibilities Film professional-quality video content for corporate, executive, interview, and event-related productions. Set up and operate cine-grade camera, lighting, and professional audio equipment. Create polished lighting setups for talking-head interviews, executive messaging, and corporate environments. Capture clean, well-composed footage that supports both long-form and short-form video edits. Ensure clear, reliable audio capture for interviews and on-camera dialogue. Work efficiently across half-day and full-day shoots, with a high level of preparedness and professionalism. Assess locations and recommend practical adjustments for lighting, sound, framing, and production flow. Collaborate with Aurelius producers, clients, speakers, and on-site stakeholders in a calm, organized manner. Maintain and transport required equipment, including backups where appropriate. Coordinate with additional production crew when needed, including camera operators, grips, and gaffers. Required qualifications Based in, or able to work locally in, Austin, Texas. Demonstrated experience as a videographer or director of photography on corporate videos, executive interviews, talking-head content, branded content, or similar professional productions. Strong portfolio demonstrating excellent camera composition, lighting, interview framing, and audio quality. Access to a professional cine-grade camera package, including appropriate lenses, media, power, and support equipment. Access to professional lighting and audio equipment suitable for high-quality indoor and location shoots. Proven ability to light executives and interview subjects in a flattering, natural, and consistent way. Strong working knowledge of camera settings, exposure, color temperature, sound capture, and location production best practices. Ability to work independently, troubleshoot calmly, and maintain a professional presence with senior leaders and clients. Availability to support both half-day and full-day productions on a contract basis. Ability to begin work as soon as possible. Preferred qualifications Access to, or established relationships with, additional camera operators, grips, gaffers, and other qualified production crew. Experience staffing or supporting multi-camera interviews, larger corporate shoots, or event productions. Access to additional movement and production equipment, such as sliders, gimbals, tripods, monopods, or stabilizer systems. Experience capturing social-first video content, including vertical framing and short-form interview clips. Familiarity with professional corporate and healthcare-adjacent environments, where discretion, preparation, and efficient production are especially important. Basic post-production, editing, color, or file-management capabilities are a plus, though the primary need is strong on-set production and capture. Equipment expectations The videographer should have access to a professional production package appropriate for corporate video work, including: Cine-grade camera body or equivalent professional video camera. A versatile lens kit suitable for interviews and B-roll. Stable camera support, including a professional tripod. Professional LED lighting, modifiers, stands, and related grip equipment. High-quality audio-recording equipment, such as wireless lavalier microphones, a boom microphone, recorder, and monitoring headphones. Sufficient media, batteries, power solutions, and backup equipment to support the planned shoot duration. Access to sliders, gimbals, additional specialty lenses, and expanded grip/lighting equipment is strongly preferred. What success looks like A successful videographer in this role will arrive prepared, create a comfortable and professional experience for on-camera participants, and consistently capture clean, cinematic footage with excellent sound and lighting. They will be able to move efficiently between setups, adapt to real-world conditions, and help Aurelius produce video content that reflects the quality and credibility of its clients and initiatives.
