Job Description:
About the Role We're looking for bilingual (Chinese-English) interns to join our team for a 6-month, full-time internship focused on bringing Chinese micro-dramas to U.S. audiences. This role is centered on script localization, where you'll help adapt Chinese-language content into natural, engaging English while ensuring cultural relevance for U.S. viewers. You'll also gain exposure to content development and storytelling workflows, making this a great opportunity for candidates interested in media, entertainment, or global content. What You'll Do Translate and localize Chinese micro-drama scripts into clear, natural English for U.S. audiences Adapt culturally specific elements (e.g., dialogue nuances, actions, props, settings) to improve audience relatability Build and maintain terminology glossaries and style consistency across projects Conduct research for genre-specific content (e.g., romance, fantasy, sci-fi, sports, etc.) Support script development work as needed, including story research, plot breakdowns, and basic analysis Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams on content projects What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree or above; recent graduates or early-career candidates are strongly encouraged to apply Fluent in Chinese (reading) and English (writing), with the ability to convey meaning accurately and write naturally in English Strong understanding of both Chinese and U.S. cultural contexts Interest in storytelling, short-form video, or micro-drama content Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks with strong follow-through Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-cultural environment Comfortable using or learning AI-assisted tools (e.g., for translation support, research, or drafting) to improve efficiency Nice to Have Academic or internship experience in screenwriting, translation, localization, or content development Familiarity with vertical drama platforms or digital media trends
