This position will ensure that all withdrawals are accurately filed with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), properly supported by documentation, and processed in accordance with FTZ regulations and company procedures. The position requires knowledge of FTZ operations, Customs entry requirements, HTS classification, and inventory controls. The FTZ Entry Writer will work closely with the FTZ warehouse, operations team, customers, and carriers to ensure timely and compliant withdrawals. Essential Responsibilities Prepare and file Customs entries (7501) for merchandise withdrawn from an FTZ. Verify quantities, values, HTS classifications, country of origin, manufacturer, and other required Customs information. Review whether merchandise is subject to Privileged Foreign (PF), Non-Privileged Foreign (NPF), Domestic, or Zone-Restricted status and ensure the appropriate Customs treatment is applied. Ensure withdrawals are properly matched to the applicable FTZ inventory records and documentation. Monitor Customs entry status, releases, holds, examinations, and requests for additional information. Coordinate with CBP and other government agencies when additional information or documentation is required. Review entry summaries and supporting documentation for accuracy prior to submission. Maintain complete and accurate records of FTZ withdrawals and supporting documentation. Assist with Customs reconciliations, corrections, protests, PSCs, and other post-entry activities when applicable. Communicate with customers regarding missing or incorrect documentation required to process withdrawals. Perform other FTZ and Customs-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Previous experience as an Entry Writer, Customs Entry Specialist, Import Specialist, or similar position. Experience with U.S. Customs entry procedures. Working knowledge of FTZ operations and Customs requirements. Knowledge of HTS classification and Customs valuation. Strong understanding of import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and supporting Customs documentation. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with high-volume transactions. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve documentation issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
