Job Description:
Woodland Group is seeking a full-time Customs Entry Writer for our Garden City, NY headquarters. This role is responsible for preparing and processing import customs entries, insuringpliance with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Regulations and Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong customs brokerage experience, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties:
Processing of US Customs entries in accordance with US Customs and all other government agencies. Must maintain account information according to client requirements, change in contact, special instructions and any other additional or revised specific requirements. Review entry documents for accuracy and provide feedback to appropriate parties if anything is missing or iplete. Process and submit entries as required by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Submit required information to any applicable Participating Government Agencies (PGAs). Provide clearance status as needed to the appropriate parties. Communicate with CBP and PGAs as needed to facilitate the release of the shipment. Classify imported merchandise using the HTS (Harmonized Tariff Scle) Codes. Calculate applicable duties, taxes, and fees. Must have knowledge if ISF filing. Hybrid after a 90-day successful probation period.
Requirements:
Working knowledge of OGA's•
FDA, USDA, FWS, EPA.
Minimum 3+ years' experience. Position requires working directly with customs, other government agencies, carriers, customers, vendors and all related parties concerning the import process. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written). Highlyanized and detail oriented. Cargowise experience. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve. Customs Broker License a plus. (EEO)
