Responsibilities Research, write, and edit news articles, features, and multimedia content following journalistic standards such as AP style Cover local events, interviews, and breaking news with accuracy and enthusiasm Produce video content including footage capture, editing, and storytelling for digital platforms and broadcasts Manage social media platforms by creating engaging posts, sharing stories, and interacting with the community Fact-check information thoroughly to ensure accuracy and credibility in all published content Collaborate with photographers and videographers to enhance storytelling through visual media Proofread and copyedit articles for clarity, grammar, and style before publication Qualifications Proven experience in journalism or digital journalism with a strong portfolio of published work Excellent written communication skills with a talent for compelling storytelling Proficiency in photography, video production, video editing, and broadcast journalism editing tools Familiarity with social media management platforms and content strategies for diverse audiences Knowledge of AP style guidelines and experience in content writing for various formats including articles, social media posts, and broadcast scripts Ability to research thoroughly and verify facts accurately under tight deadlines Bilingual skills are a plus but not required; strong research skills are essential Join us to make an impact through powerful storytelling that informs and engages our community!
