Hi, I'm Katie Callander, and I've been with The BayNet since June 2022. I started as a part-time graphic designer and quickly fell in love with the team and discovered a passion for writing and storytelling. What You'll Do:

• Write engaging news articles, features, and opinion pieces that resonate with local readers
• Conduct interviews with community members, leaders, and local influencers
• Collaborate closely with our editorial team on story ideas and content planning
• Pitch unique, engaging story ideas with a community focus
• Meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in writing or journalism
• Strong attention to detail and familiarity with AP style
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A passion for community-focused journalism and storytelling
