Position Summary:
The Entry Writer is responsible for preparing and submitting accurate customs entries in compliance with U.S. Customs and other government agencies. The ideal candidate will be experienced, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a file from receipt through billing within the same day.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of entry writing experience in a U.S. Customs Broker office Strong knowledge of
U.S. HTS, IEPA
Ability to classify products accurately using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Experience processing CBP forms 7533, 7501, and 3461 per entry Knowledge of USMCA regulations Experience adding organizations in the system Knowledge of carrier queries based on SCAC codes Knowledge of bond queries using EIN Experience processing daily statements Experience handling T&E, IT, and IE shipments FDA experience with foodstuff entries Ability to manage a file from reception to billing on the same day Highly detail-oriented with minimal errors Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision Must be bilingual (English/Spanish preferred) CargoWise experience is a plus
