In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and managing U.S. Customs import/export entries, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and supporting Foreign Trade Zone operations for high-volume global supply chain operations. This role can also be based out of any of the following locations:
Reynoldsburg, OH Charleston, SC Saint Paul, MN Fife, WA Fullerton, CA El Paso, TX Charlotte, NC Chicago, IL Key Responsibilities:
Customs Brokerage & Import/Export Operations:
Prepare, review, and submit U.S. Customs import and export entries in compliance with CBP regulations Process customs documentation including CBP Forms 3461, 7501, 7512, AES filings, and related entry documentation Review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other supporting documentation Determine accurate HTS classifications, duty rates, valuation, country of origin, and applicable trade programs including USMCA, GSP, and ADD/CVD Coordinate with carriers, terminals, warehouses, clients, and internal teams to resolve clearance issues Ensure timely and accurate cargo release while meeting customer and operational deadlines
FTZ Operations & Compliance:
Manage Foreign Trade Zone admissions, withdrawals, exports, and zone status changes Ensure compliance with 19 CFR Part 146 and FTZ Board regulations Prepare and manage weekly and monthly FTZ entries, reconciliations, and reporting requirements Maintain accurate FTZ inventory records, documentation, and audit readiness Support FTZ operators and clients with compliance guidance and process improvements Identify opportunities for duty optimization and operational efficiencies
Regulatory Compliance & Client Support:
Ensure compliance with CBP, Census, FDA, USDA, EPA, FCC, and other Partner Government Agency requirements Monitor regulatory changes affecting imports, exports, and FTZ programs Support CBP audits, Requests for Information, Notices of Action, and compliance reviews Serve as subject matter expert for customs brokerage and FTZ-related questions Communicate with clients regarding documentation requirements, shipment status, and compliance impacts
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in customs brokerage, import/export entry writing, or international trade compliance required Strong hands-on FTZ experience including admissions, withdrawals, reconciliations, and compliance processes Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTSUS classification, valuation, and tariff requirements Experience with customs brokerage systems such as Descartes, CargoWise, SAP GTS, or ACE/ACS Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or actively pursuing licensure preferred Experience supporting CBP audits, FTZ compliance reviews, or customs reconciliations preferred Knowledge of duty drawback, reconciliation programs, and special trade programs a plus

Monday through Friday | Regular office hours
Hybrid:
Monday through Thursday onsite | Friday remote Occasional extended hours during peak shipping periods
