Job Description

Overview The Development Coordinator is a key member of the Club team, primarily responsible for managing the annual giving program, social media planning, tracking, and content creation, establishing partnerships and outreach to disseminate Boys and Girls Clubs of Hudson County information, and assisting with the CRM operations. This role supports all functions of fund development, ensuring the effective execution of fundraising strategies and donor relationship management. The Development Coordinator works closely with the Chief Operating Officer and the Director of Program Development as well as other team members to achieve organizational goals and maximize donor engagement.
Responsibilities Annual Giving Program Management :
Develop and implement strategies for the annual giving program, including direct mail, email campaigns, online giving, and social media outreach. Coordinate and execute donor appeals, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Track and analyze the performance of annual giving campaigns, using data to inform future strategies. Collaborate on marketing and communication efforts to create compelling content and materials for annual giving initiatives.
CRM Management :
Assist with maintaining and updating the CRM system (Exceed Further), ensuring the accuracy and integrity of donor data. Generate and analyze reports from the CRM to support fundraising efforts, donor segmentation, and targeted communications. Monitor and resolve any issues related to the CRM system, working with the vendor as necessary.
Donor Stewardship and Cultivation :
Develop and implement stewardship plans to enhance donor retention and satisfaction. Coordinate and support donor recognition events, both virtual and in-person. Conduct research on prospective donors to inform cultivation strategies and identify new funding opportunities.
Fund Development Support :
Assist with monitoring grant implementation and fulfilling grant reporting requirements as scheduled. Assist with the annual resource development calendar, planning and execution of special events (including annual events: Career Explorers Dinner, Hudson Gives, Golf "Fore" Kids, and Giving Tuesday/End of Year), campaigns, and other fundraising activities. Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities and donor interactions in the CRM system. Support the management team in preparing reports and presentations for the board and senior leadership. Social Media and Communications Assist with development and implementation of targeted social media marketing strategies to enhance branding. Create, edit, and post engaging content (text, image, and short-form video) Develop BGCHC presence and content on additional platforms including TikTok and Linked In. Assist in developing monthly newsletter and annual report Outreach and Partnership Development Build up a tracking system for partnerships with other nonprofits, corporations, and schools in Hudson County, in collaboration with the Director of Community Engagement. Outreach and attend 2-4 networking or community events a month to disseminate information on Boys & Girls Club programs. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, annual giving, or nonprofit development. Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., Bloomerang, Kindest, RunSignUp) and MS Office Suite. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Experience in simple web development and management of social media Light local travel in the Northeast Region (NY, NJ, PA, CT) Ability to work under deadline pressure, both independently and as part of a team. Strict attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in donor stewardship and event coordination. Experience in corporate engagement and volunteer coordination Knowledge of fundraising best practices and current trends in philanthropy. Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
Work Environment :
This position may require occasional evening and weekend work to support fundraising events.
