Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Fleet Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. In this energetic role, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. Your hands-on skills will keep our operations moving forward. We are committed to providing a rewarding environment where your technical talents can shine and grow. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, and brake repairs to minimize downtime. Utilize laptop to diagnose immediate and potential issues. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed; ensure compliance with safety regulations related to vehicle maintenance and operation. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform welding or assembly work as required for equipment repair or customization projects. Perform operational tasks when no mechanical work is necessary partnering with the team to pitch in wherever needed. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment repair in a commercial or industrial setting. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and electrical systems; ability to read schematics accurately. Hands-on experience working with Freightliners & Cummings equipment is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including air brake systems, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC units, shocks & struts. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; capable of using power tools safely and effectively. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients alike. Embark on a career that energizes your passion for mechanics!
