Diesel Mechanic

Job Overview Long's Truck & Trailer Repair is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems. You will work on a variety of trucks and trailers to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. We offer competitive pay based on experience and expertise, with the opportunity for an immediate raise following the initial 90-day trial period for strong performance. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in diesel engines and related systems. Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, inspections, and preventive maintenance. Repair and replace parts, such as fuel injectors, turbos, and braking systems. Conduct maintenance and repairs on transmissions, axles, and steering components. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Document all repairs and services performed within our system. Communicate effectively with team members and clients about vehicle status and recommended services. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a diesel mechanic training program is preferred. Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems. Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
