Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment and vehicles, including farm machinery and heavy trucks. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your mechanical skills. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using OEM schematics and automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet specific operational needs. Replace or repair components including brake systems, transmissions and tires while adhering to safety protocols. Operate heavy equipment safely during repair procedures or testing phases; perform heavy lifting as required for component removal or installation. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed; ensure all work complies with specifications and safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic or Service Technician in a dealership or industrial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems. Experience working with heavy machinery such as farm machinery, heavy duty trucks or similar equipment is highly desirable. Knowledge of OEM parts specifications and vehicle maintenance best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation; able to communicate technical information clearly. Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
