Job Description

Job Summary Creative Disposal, a local, woman owned & operated, roll off & trucking company is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of diesel-powered vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of diesel engines including CAT & Cummins, vehicle maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. As a diesel Mechanic with Creative you will be critical to ensuring our trucks can operate safely & effectively. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel engines and related systems. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in tractor-trailers, roll offs, quad axles and other equipment. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotations. Operate heavy equipment safely such as lifts or forklifts during repair processes. Utilize welding techniques to repair or fabricate parts as needed. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment. Collaborate with team members to transmit information regarding vehicle conditions and necessary repairs. Experience & Qualifications Proven experience in heavy truck repair with a focus on diesel mechanics is required. Familiarity with air brake systems and their maintenance is essential. Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus. Knowledge of welding practices is desired. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing. CDL license is preferred. Must provide your own tools.
