Diesel Truck mechanic

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and related systems in various types of vehicles and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of diesel mechanics, electrical systems, and the ability to work with schematics. The Diesel Mechanic will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues. Repair and maintain farm machinery, cranes, and other heavy equipment as needed. Conduct electrical repairs, including soldering and aligning components to ensure optimal performance. Work with air brake systems to ensure safety compliance and functionality. Utilize schematics to understand complex systems for effective troubleshooting. Weld components as required for repairs or modifications. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment. Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes and enhance overall efficiency. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive or heavy machinery industry. Strong knowledge of diesel engine components, electrical systems, and repair techniques. Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively. Proficient in welding techniques and equipment repair practices. Familiarity with air brake systems and their maintenance requirements. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license is preferred; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are a plus.
