  • Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary Cook to join our team in providing high-quality meal preparation for our residents.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious, delicious meals that cater to their dietary needs. Experience in an assisted living environment or as a dietary aide is preferred. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure all food production meets safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean working environment. Assist in menu planning and meal preparation, taking into consideration the dietary restrictions of residents. Collaborate with the dietary department to ensure efficient service and quality control of food served. Maintain inventory of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly. Provide support in bussing tables and serving meals during dining hours as necessary. Participate in training sessions related to food handling, safety, and culinary skills. Qualifications Proven experience in food production or culinary roles, preferably within an assisted living or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food. Ability to prepare a variety of meals while adhering to dietary guidelines. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, staff, and management. Certification in food handling or culinary arts is a plus but not required.
