Job Description

Chair 5, located inside The Break Hotel, is entering an exciting new phase with a strong culinary direction and renewed focus on guest experience. We are seeking a Dining Room Manager / Lead Server to take ownership of the front-of-house and lead the dining room with confidence, consistency, and professionalism. This is a hands-on leadership role — you will run & work shifts, support the team, and ensure every guest has an excellent experience. What You'll Do Lead the Dining Room Run shifts and take full ownership of service flow and guest experience Assign sections, manage pacing, and ensure smooth operations Step in immediately to resolve issues and maintain standards Own the Guest Experience Deliver high-level service while overseeing the room Handle guest concerns professionally and independently Ensure consistency in service from start to finish Lead and Develop the Team Set the tone for professionalism, urgency, and hospitality Train and mentor servers and support staff Hold team members accountable to service standards Operational Responsibilities Run pre-shift meetings and communicate priorities clearly Coordinate closely with the kitchen and hotel Handle POS functions (voids, comps, adjustments) responsibly Assist with scheduling input and shift coverage What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant Prior leadership experience (lead server, supervisor, or similar) Strong presence — able to lead a team and make decisions Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills Experience with POS systems (Toast is a plus) Compensation & Schedule Salary + tips (based on experience and performance) Nights and weekends required, full-time
Pay:
$20.00 - $40.00 per hour
