At least 1 day per week for training and fill in coverage starting June 10th The Direct Care Worker will provide person-centered direct-contact care to six residents with varying levels of physical and/or developmental disabilities in an AFC home setting.

MAIN DUTIES

Provide personal care, including bathing, toileting, incontinence care, grooming, and dressing to male and female residents. Providing mobility assistance, such as helping the client in and out of bed, a chair, toilet or a wheelchair. Administer prescribed medications, including diabetic monitoring and injections. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Assist residents with activities of daily living they are unable to perform without help, fostering their independence and freedom of choice. Responsible for actively maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, ensuring a pleasant and safe space for everyone. SKILLS Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and patient-centered care. Must be dependable and motivated and have reliable transportation. May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds Must be able to think, act, and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations.
