Responsibilities Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance Monitor behavioral changes to ensure optimal care Support medication administration following care plans set by healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning common areas and personal spaces Operate equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely to transfer individuals with mobility challenges Observe individuals closely for signs of distress or changes in condition, reporting findings to supervisors promptly Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies Collaborate with healthcare teams, SSAs, guardians, and family members to develop and implement personalized care plans Support individuals in the community or activities that promote social engagement Skills Strong understanding of policy and procedures to ensure confidentiality Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Excellent communication skills for working effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring Compassionate approach combined with patience and resilience when working with individuals experiencing behavioral issues Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while adapting to changing needs Valid certifications such as CPR, First Aid, or specialized training in behavioral services Embark on a fulfilling career where your support transforms lives every day.
