Direct Support Professional 1:1 -
Complex Behaviors Shoreham, NY Salary:
$20 - $22/hr + weekend differential

Through family and community engagement, Citizens supports people to live the life they choose. Provide 1:1 supervision of assigned individuals by ensuring implementation and recording the progress of habilitation and clinical service plans. Ensure a safe and clean home by supporting people with household chores and participating in said chores as needed. Follow all treatment plans and utilize the corresponding adaptive and safety equipment needed for each person to promote independence and ensure health, safety, and well-being. Report and document any events or activities that may hinder the health, safety, and well-being of the person (e.g., allegations of abuse, injuries, broken equipment). Adhere to Federal and New York State regulations, agency policies and procedures, the employee handbook, and all training requirements. In the absence of the 1:1, provide ongoing support to all people in becoming active participants in every aspect of their lives and overall well-being, and ensure that a high quality of life is maintained.
We require:
Valid NYS Driver's License
CPR/SCIP
Certification High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Excellent communication skills One year of experience supporting people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities and psychiatric disorders preferred DSP 1:1, for immediate consideration, please apply now!
