The Role We are looking for a dedicated Direct Support Professional to join us in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is more than a "caregiving" job. It's a partnership. You will provide the daily support necessary for our residents to thrive in their homes and stay connected to their communities. What You'll Do (Duties)
Daily Living Support:
Provide dignified assistance with personal routines, including grooming, dressing, and mobility.
Health & Safety:
Monitor well-being by tracking vital signs and observing changes in condition.
Medical Oversight:
Carefully manage medication administration in strict accordance with care plans and HIPAA standards.
Nutritional Care:
Prepare healthy meals that respect dietary needs while keeping a clean, welcoming kitchen.
Documentation:
Maintain clear, professional records of progress and incidents, ensuring we meet all regulatory privacy standards.
Life Enrichment:
Be a companion and advocate. You'll lead social activities and help residents engage with the community to foster true independence.
What We're Looking For A Compassionate Heart:
No prior experience is necessary! We provide comprehensive training for the right candidate who has a genuine desire to help others.
Great Communication:
You should be comfortable documenting progress and communicating with healthcare professionals and family members.
Reliability:
Our residents count on you. We need team members who are dependable and committed to their shifts. Bonus Points (Nice to have, but not required): Previous experience in group homes, HCS/ICF-IID, or home health. Experience with dementia care, memory care, or hospice.
Requirements:
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. CPR and First Aid certification (or the willingness to get certified during orientation). Valid driver's license
Pay:
$10.60 per hour
