• 12 hour shifts (Weds through Sat) No rotating shifts This position is located at a high behavior home.

OIS training will be provided, but prior experience with redirection, dementia care, verbal and physical aggression is required. Patience and kindness, and the ability to not take things personally are also vital. A Direct Support Professional helps people live their lives and make connections in their communities. Direct Support Professionals support individuals by:

• Helping them live as independently as possible
• Helping ensure they are healthy and safe
• Helping with daily life activities like cooking, cleaning, dressing, bathing, shopping, transportation and community
• Teaching independence and safety skills

Must have at least 5 years driving experience with a clean 3 year driving record. Must be 18 years old. Must pass a background check.
