Direct support professional Behavior Tech

Marlboro Monmouth County HOURS:

SAT and Sunday 10am-1pm (in the home) Weekdays (when available) driving to and from day program 7:30 am and 3:20 pm

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will work with individuals, with autism or developmental disabilities to implement behavior intervention plans supervised by the agency BCBA.

Responsibilities:

• One on one support in the home preparing for day program. Driving to day program. Picking up from day program and in home support
• Provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to individuals
• Implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
• Collect data on client progress and behavior
• Assist in the development of treatment goals and objectives
• Collaborate with families and caregivers to support client progress
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records

Qualifications:

• Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles
• Understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health
• Strong interpersonal skills for working closely with clients and their families
• Patience, empathy, and compassion for individuals in need of behavioral support

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in patient care or healthcare settings
• Familiarity with special education practices
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in maintaining medical records accurately
