Our approach focuses on independence, skill-building, community inclusion, and meaningful daily support tailored to each individual's goals and needs. Position Overview This is not a passive caregiving position. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at Taylored Care® actively support individuals in developing life skills, participating in their communities, and increasing independence through structured guidance, engagement, and relationship-based support. DSPs work alongside the individuals they support — encouraging growth, promoting choice, and helping create safe, respectful, and empowering environments. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, hands-on, emotionally aware, and genuinely enjoys working with people. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support in home and community-based settings Support community integration through outings, activities, appointments, and social engagement Assist individuals with daily living skills, routines, and independence-building goals Follow and implement Individual Program Plans (IPP) and approved support strategies Maintain professional boundaries while building positive, respectful relationships Complete accurate and timely documentation and shift notes Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and the support team Promote dignity, safety, choice, and person-centered support throughout each shift Work Environment This is a field-based position serving the Harbor area and surrounding communities. Services are provided in client homes and throughout the community. Schedules, assignments, and service locations vary based on individual needs and staff availability. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance Ability to pass DOJ/FBI Live Scan background clearance TB clearance within required timeframe CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Authorized to work in the United States Compensation & Benefits $19.00 - $23.00 per hour depending on experience and assignment Flexible scheduling based on availability and client needs Paid onboarding and training Referral incentives Health, dental, and vision insurance available to eligible full-time employees after the applicable eligibility period What We're Looking For We're looking for reliable, professional, and engaged individuals who can appropriately guide and support others without taking over for them.
