FULL-TIME POSITION

Tuesday 2P-11P, Wednesday 2P-11P, Friday 8AP-2P, Saturday 9A-9P $15 an hour Responsible for providing day-to-day residential care for the residents of New Horizons Group Homes, Inc. (NHGH). Very personally fulfilling position providing care to very high functioning adults with cognitive disabilities in a home like Christian setting. We are a non-profit, faith based organization dedicated to provide care for our residents in a loving and family atmosphere. Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them in their daily activities and promoting their independence. You will work closely with clients in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and community environments, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide patient care, including assisting with the self administration of medications as prescribed. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and skill development. Implement care plans tailored to individual needs while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Support clients with mobility needs. Observe and report any changes in client behavior or health status to the supervising staff. Assist with cooking nutritious meals that meet dietary restrictions and preferences. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Experience Ideal candidates will possess experience in one or more of the following areas: Working with people with developmental disabilities or autism. Group home or assisted living facilities environments. Patient observation and monitoring. Direct support roles involving caregiving or senior care.

Preferred skills include:

First Aid and CPR certification.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience required.
• Level 2 Background Screening required.
• To be considered for this position you must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
