Job Description

DIRECTOR OF BRAND MARKETING
Goods iQ
  • North Kingstown, RI
  • Hybrid
  • Full-Time $130,000
  • $170,000 DOE
  • Mon-Thu In-Office / Fri Remote About Goods iQ Some companies follow trends.
We set them. Goods iQ develops smart consumer products — and we need the world to know it. Our portfolio of iconic brands includes Bostitch® Office Products, PaperPro®, LockerMate®, PureOptics™ LED Lighting, and Spec Ops™ Tools. Behind every one of them is a team of makers, creators, and category disruptors who move fast, think big, and hold themselves to an uncomfortably high standard. We run on honesty, collaboration, and a shared obsession with excellence. We celebrate the wins — loudly and often. The Role This is your seat at the table — if you're ready to earn it. Goods iQ is at an inflection point of aggressive portfolio growth. We're not looking for someone to inherit a playbook. We need a marketing leader who will write one. As Director of Brand Marketing, you'll architect the strategy that defines how millions of consumers experience our brands — from building equity that commands shelf space and screen time, to engineering customer journeys that convert and retain. You'll sit at the intersection of creativity and commercial impact, operating as a true business partner to the executive team. Your fingerprints will be on everything: channel strategy, team culture, budget allocation, and the bold ideas that keep Goods iQ ahead of the competition. We hire owners, not order-takers. If you lean in when things are unclear, raise your hand when something's broken, and take personal responsibility for outcomes — this role was written for you. Key Responsibilities Brand Strategy and Execution
  • Lead transformative marketing strategies across digital, content, social, email, and traditional channels.
  • Own and evolve each brand's story — ensuring distinct voice, emotional resonance, and long-term equity.
  • Develop compelling positioning and messaging that connects with target consumers across every touchpoint.
  • Define clear objectives, KPIs, and success metrics tied directly to company growth goals. Team and Culture Leadership
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, inclusive marketing team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and relentless ownership.
  • Set the performance standard — for your department and the business as a whole.
  • Lead project management across all initiatives, holding the team to world-class execution and schedule attainment. Commercial Growth and Analytics
  • Drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention across all channels.
  • Leverage data to measure performance, surface insights, and optimize in real time.
  • Own the marketing budget — allocate resources with a bias toward measurable ROI.
  • Build a test-and-learn culture that treats every campaign as an opportunity to improve. Cross-Functional and Market Leadership
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Operations to align marketing with broader business strategy.
  • Lead new product commercialization, channel expansion, and customer experience initiatives.
  • Monitor competitive activity, category shifts, and consumer trends — then act on them first. Skills and Competencies Strategic Leadership
  • Proven track record building and scaling iconic consumer brands with clear vision and commercial results.
  • Ability to define bold brand strategy and mobilize cross-functional teams to execute with precision and speed.
  • Executive-level influence — you build consensus at the C-suite and inspire action at every level of the organization. Marketing Excellence
  • Deep fluency in eCommerce, omnichannel retail, and the full consumer journey from discovery to loyalty.
  • Expert command of digital marketing — content, SEO/SEM, social, email, and performance analytics.
  • An exceptionally creative mind paired with sharp analytical instincts — equally at home in a brainstorm and a budget review.
  • Ability to shift seamlessly across a diverse brand portfolio while maintaining the distinct equity of each. Ownership and Operational Discipline
  • Exceptional project management — you run complex, multi-brand initiatives without dropping a detail.
  • Demonstrated results in fast-moving, high-growth environments where ambiguity is the norm.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — you treat uncertainty as a competitive advantage, not an obstacle.
  • Contagious energy and passion that raises the bar for everyone around you. Growth Orientation
  • Relentless curiosity and commitment to staying ahead of consumer trends and emerging platforms.
  • A builder's mentality — you don't manage what exists, you create what's next. Qualifications
  • 8+ years of progressive brand marketing experience with consumer products, including digital and performance marketing.
  • 2+ years of creative agency experience or multi-brand consumer products leadership.
  • Strong background in eCommerce, performance marketing, and marketing analytics.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and project management tools (Asana or similar).
  • Experience with digital shelf software tools, Salsify, Salesforce CRM & Marketing Cloud as strong plus
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; MBA a strong plus.
  • Military experience a strong plus — we deeply respect the leadership and ownership mindset it develops.
