What You'll Do:
Develop and execute tactical plans to achieve mechanical services growth objectives. Provide regular progress updates to leadership and identify barriers or opportunities for improvement. Evaluate current mechanical service capabilities and partner with training teams to identify development needs across locations. Recommend resource deployment strategies to strengthen operational performance. Collaborate with the Fleet Maintenance Manager to standardize service offerings and ensure alignment with customer demand and gross profit goals. Partner with Sales and store leadership to identify new market opportunities and develop mechanical-service-specific sales strategies. Serve as the liaison between corporate teams and store locations to support implementation and expansion of mechanical services. Establish and manage implementation timelines while addressing operational concerns and removing barriers. Oversee the mechanical services operating plan to meet or exceed sales and gross profit targets. Develop sound business projections and adjust plans based on changing market conditions. Build strong internal partnerships to ensure coordinated execution across departments and locations. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing for parts and tools, and communicate vendor updates to store teams. Perform additional duties as needed to support business objectives.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Strong working knowledge of truck and trailer mechanical systems, with the ability and willingness to expand technical expertise as needed. Experience establishing and growing a mechanical services business preferred. Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to set goals and execute strategic action plans. Results-driven mindset with strong personal accountability. Proven ability to influence others and gain buy-in for change initiatives. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive progress in evolving business environments. Willingness to travel up to 50% to support store locations.
