MINISTRY PROFILE
Trinity River Baptist Association (TRBA) | Liberty, Texas The Opportunity The Trinity River Baptist Association is a fellowship of 42 primarily rural churches located in Liberty County and surrounding areas. We are currently in a season of intentional renewal, focusing on evangelism, church health, and equipping local leaders. The DOM serves as the primary visionary and spiritual support for our family of churches, driving a shared mission: Equipping Pastors, Strengthening Churches, and Advancing the Kingdom. Ideal Candidate Profile We are seeking a proven, visionary servant-leader who thrives in a relationally driven environment.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Spiritual Maturity:
A healthy, growing relationship with Christ, meeting the biblical qualifications of an elder (1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, 1 Peter 5). •
Baptist Identity:
A distinctively Baptist theological conviction and a deep understanding of Southern Baptist denominational life. •
Proven Experience:
A history of pastoral leadership, specifically within rural contexts, with a track record of personal evangelism and mission involvement. •
Renewal Mindset:
Experience in church revitalization or renewal, with the ability to navigate past conflicts and guide declining churches toward health. Core Responsibilities The DOM's work is focused on three strategic pillars: 1.
Equipping Pastors:
Acting as a shepherd, counselor, and friend to our pastors. This includes providing tools for spiritual health, leader development, and membership retention. 2.
Strengthening Churches:
Developing initiatives that foster cooperation and offering training opportunities tailored to each church's unique context. 3. Advancing the
Kingdom:
Leading the strategic vision of the Association and providing opportunities for state, national, and international missions. Operational Leadership •
Collaboration:
Working with associational committees and the Executive Board to execute the annual calendar and mission. •
Communication:
Monitoring regional trends and communicating vital information between the state/national conventions and local churches. •
Administration:
Managing the associational office and part-time staff (one clerical position). Compensation & Requirements •
Total Compensation:
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00. •
Benefits:
Parsonage provided (approximate value of $22,000.00 yearly) plus ministry expenses. Application Process Interested candidates should submit the following by June 30, 2026: 1.
