We strive to maintain a positive work environment where team members are valued and treated as part of the family, In this role, the Vice President (VP) of Sales and Marketing is responsible for providing direction, guidance, and leadership to the Sales and Marketing Teams to ensure consistent execution of the company's strategic direction and vision. The VP of Sales and Marketing is responsible for developing sales and marketing strategies, generating new business leads, building, and maintaining strong messaging and consistent corporate branding standards through all sales and marketing channels. The VP of Sales and Marketing is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the operations of the Sales and Marketing Departments by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate leaders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Consistently promote the nuCamp vision, core values, and focus, ensuring alignment and prioritization around the Sales and Marketing Department's goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Sales and Marketing teams, fostering teamwork, and a culture of excellence, creativity, and collaboration.
Take ownership of crafting and safeguarding the company's branding, image, and reputation through all sales and marketing activities. Develop the sales and marketing strategy by studying economic indicators, staying apprised of changes to supply and demand, customer's current and future needs, and monitoring activities from direct competitors, including marketing campaigns and product releases, as well as trends across the RV industry. Ensure strategic objectives are understood by the sales and marketing teams and consistently upheld in all sales and marketing activities.
  • Develop, oversee, and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets, and build key account relationships that drive increased revenue and demand for nuCamp products.
  • Increase market share and new business leads by identifying target accounts, priority markets, potential markets, and evaluating further saturation with current accounts. Influence current and future product offering by maintaining knowledge of trends and developments in the market along with analyzing and preparing forecasts.
  • Influence pricing strategies, oversee initiation of sales proposals, and negotiate dealer pricing and volume discounts.
Translate results of market and consumer trends, competitor analysis, and other relevant data into actionable items for the sales and marketing teams. Establish and implement short- and long-range sales and marketing goals, objectives, and policies to drive customer sales and increase market share. Evaluate, optimize, and deploy successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution; Able to turn creative ideas into effective advertising projects.
  • Develop, oversee, and manage all brand and messaging strategies including product launches, marketing collateral, websites, advertising, promotional campaigns, social media, and videos.
Drive brand awareness across all communication channels. Determine company presence at dealer shows, tradeshows, rallies, and community engagement events, evaluating those that offer maximum exposure. Prepare and maintain sales and marketing plans, budgets, expenditures, and calendars. Establish sales objectives to strengthen customer base through face-to-face customer visits, attendance at dealer shows, nuCamp University training opportunities, and timely follow-up to customer inquiries.
  • Implement metrics for measuring sales and marketing campaign effectiveness and refine as needed to ensure optimal results, as defined by the strategic plans.
Build strategic relationships and partners with key industry players, agencies, and vendors. Establish nuCamp as a market leader by representing the company at RVIA and other RV industry conferences, conventions, shows, and events. Assess opportunities to network with local organizations, companies, and community members to build company awareness in the local area. Collaborate, participate in, and coordinate promotional activities, sponsorships, events, and trade shows.
  • Generate management reports as needed to analyze sales and marketing effectiveness with the aim of continuous improvement.
  • Plan Sales and Marketing Department activities, establishing priorities and monitoring activity, employee productivity, brand standards, and customer service.
  • Identify and coordinate project priority levels by assigning tasks and following up on work results.
  • Coordinate sales and marketing strategies with senior leadership, finance, and operations department.
  • Develop and document all standard Sales and Marketing Department procedures, communicating with and coaching team members to perform at their best to achieve exceptional performance.
  • Stay current on industry and market trends, to ensure nuCamp stays up to date with best practices, standards, and procedures.
Establish and maintain a staffing structure to support the sales and marketing efforts of the organization. Develop, evaluate, and conduct training on sales and marketing activities, strategies, and policies. Develop a clear understanding and communication strategy around the concepts of differentiation and adding value to the customer for use by the sales and marketing teams. Drive the company's brand strategy, including educating various areas of the company to ensure that the branding, positioning, and marketing objectives are understood across functional teams and aligned with the organizational goals and strategic objectives. Drive individual performance by setting clear expectations, providing training, guidance, and direction, conducting performance evaluations, and participating in employment decisions for hiring, discipline, and termination.
  • Cooperate with the CEO and/or HR to resolve team member problems or grievances.
  • Participate in problem solving sessions and offer suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The VP of Sales and Marketing will supervise Sales and Marketing team members and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Departments. The VP of Sales and Marketing carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, training, and development of team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; encouraging, motivating, rewarding, and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Experience:
A minimum of fifteen years' experience in leading successful sales and marketing programs including eight or more years in a leadership role. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is a plus. Master's Degree in a related field is a plus. Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, procedural manuals, safety rules, operating instructions, or governmental regulations. Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills:
Must have solid math skills and the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to understand and interpret an extensive variety of general business and market data in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions, including finding relationship among seemingly unrelated information or events.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of and experience using graphic design software is a plus. Comfortable learning new systems as needed.
