Director of Security Operations

Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Director of Security Operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of security management across the organization, ensuring the safety and protection of assets, personnel, and information. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a strategic mindset, and proven experience in operations and leadership at a senior level. Duties Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive security policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals. Lead and manage security teams, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure operational excellence. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential threats or vulnerabilities. Collaborate with senior leadership to align security initiatives with business objectives and support organizational growth. Manage security operations across multiple locations, including physical security, cybersecurity, and emergency response planning. Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure quality service delivery while optimizing resources. Lead business development efforts related to security services or solutions to expand organizational capabilities. Oversee project management activities related to security upgrades, technology implementations, or process improvements. Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance within security operations. Ensure compliance with legal regulations and industry standards related to security practices. Qualifications Proven management experience in a senior leadership role within security operations or related fields. Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to develop long-term security frameworks. Demonstrated expertise in operations management, project management, and process improvement methodologies. Excellent negotiation skills for vendor contracts and partnership agreements. Experience in business development related to security services or solutions is preferred. Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and influence organizational culture. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with executive teams and external stakeholders. Relevant certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are advantageous.
