Full-time, 12-month Summary Serves as the President's strategic and operational partner, supporting institutional priorities through cross-campus coordination, policy and decision support, and tracking the progress of key initiatives. Provides high-level operational support for the President's day-to-day schedule, communications, travel, and administrative logistics. Works in close partnership with the President and collaborates regularly with cabinet/senior leaders, administrative support staff, and key institutional stakeholders. Coordinates operational handoffs with the Senior Director of Business Operations and serves as a primary liaison for executive-level coordination and follow-through. Primary Responsibilities Manages the President's complex calendar, Office of the President's email, meeting preparation, and follow-up; coordinates travel, logistics, expenses, and related reporting; monitors the President's Office budgets Drafts and manages agendas and materials for senior leadership/cabinet/President's Council, and other executive-level meetings; captures key decisions and action items and ensures timely follow-through Leads cross-functional project management for presidential and institutional priorities, including planning, execution, risk escalation, and progress reporting. Coordinates and tracks strategic plan initiatives across senior leaders and units; maintains clear timelines, milestones, and accountability Tracks institutional use of Hutchinson House, the President's residence, including requests, budgets, scheduling coordination, approvals/terms as applicable, and periodic reporting on usage, and any related operational follow-through Supports senior leaders to develop concise briefings, summaries, and decision memos to support presidential decision-making Represents the President in internal meetings as delegated; serves as a trusted liaison to senior leaders and key stakeholders Manages confidential communications, information flow, and appropriate access to the President, exercising sound judgment and discretion Applies Christian Science-based values and a prayerful approach to support the President's work and the Principia community, including maintaining a thoughtful, spiritually grounded perspective in decision support, communications, and relationships Core Competencies Principia values the unique strengths each employee brings to their role. Minimum Qualifications Student of Christian Science Supportive of Principia's guiding statements as articulated here https://www.principia.edu/about/guiding-statements Ability to serve Principia's purpose, as shown by experience integrating Christian Science-based spirituality and character education into daily work, relationships, and leadership practices Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in higher education, executive support, project management, strategy, or operations roles Experience in higher education or a mission-driven/nonprofit environment Experience supporting a president, CEO, or cabinet-level executive Demonstrated success managing cross-functional projects and coordinating work across multiple stakeholders and organizational units Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce concise briefs and executive-level meeting materials Proficiency with calendaring and productivity tools Training or demonstrated expertise in facilitation, change management, or strategic planning The statements above describe the general nature and level of work, but are not a complete list of responsibilities and are subject to change at the discretion of Principia. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive starting salary range for this position: $77,000 - $91,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
