Responsibilities Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by regularly cleaning workstations, floors, sinks, and storage areas to uphold health and safety standards. Sweep and mop restaurant floors to maintain a clean and safe environment throughout the establishment. Clean and maintain restroom areas to ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation for guests and staff. Perform routine cleaning of floor moldings and other detailed areas on a weekly basis. Organize and maintain dishwasher supplies to ensure efficiency and proper inventory management. Take out trash and ensure waste disposal areas are kept clean and organized. Break down cardboard boxes before disposal to maintain organized recycling and waste areas. Assist with deliveries and organizing them in their proper storage areas. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as ingredient prep and portioning under supervision to support the culinary team. Properly handle food items according to safety guidelines to prevent contamination or spoilage. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a steady flow of clean dishes during busy service periods. Clean dishwasher machine after shift or during shift if needed. Follow all sanitation protocols and safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment using proper health code. Participate in periodic deep cleaning tasks as needed to maintain overall restaurant cleanliness and sanitation standards. Skills Strong understanding of food handling and sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen setting. Experience with bussing tables and supporting food service operations is preferred. Previous restaurant, hotel, or catering experience is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail. Basic culinary knowledge including food preparation and cooking support is a plus. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward hospitality service. Knowledge of cleaning procedures and ability to operate dishwashing machinery safely.
