Job Summary Ocean 99, the oceanfront restaurant located inside the Bethany Beach Ocean Suites, is seeking experienced Dishwashers to join our culinary team. Ideal candidates should be detail oriented, and show genuine care for the quality of their work, with a strong organization skills and an understanding of food safety. Duties Complete opening and closing procedures. Load, run and unload dish machine. Set-up three bay sink with detergent, rinse, and sanitizer. Stock all necessary cleaning products. Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately. Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle. Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware is in appropriate location. Maintain all dish and food service equipment storage areas. Keep dish washing area clean and organized. Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen. Bag and haul dishroom trash to dumpster at designated times. Assist with trash removal from other kitchen and BOH areas. Assist with food prep when needed. Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss. Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies in all areas. Clean food preparation and production areas as required. Assist with banquets and large events as needed. Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor Perform all daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties assigned by leadership. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to read and comprehend labels on chemicals. Must have reliable transportation. Flexibility of schedule to assume responsibilities as needed, ability to balance work and personal life. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver products, frequently weighing up to 50 lbs. Be able to maintain a clean and neat appearance with good hygiene.
