Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly attentive and proactive Dispatcher for our Security Operations team. This vital role involves coordinating security personnel, monitoring surveillance systems, and ensuring the safety and security of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience in law enforcement or security, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a secure environment while developing skills in dispatching, surveillance, and conflict management. Duties I. Dispatch & Communication Dispatch patrol and site officers to calls for service, alarms, incidents, and client requests II. Monitoring & Documentation Monitor alarm systems, patrol tracking software, and CCTV feeds (when applicable) Accurately log all calls, incidents, officer activity, and client communications Create and maintain detailed incident reports and shift logs Ensure reports are completed and submitted according to company policy III. Customer Service Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, property managers, and the public Respond to client requests promptly and courteously Relay client instructions and site-specific requirements to officers IV. Operational Support Coordinate shift coverage and assist with call-offs, late arrivals, or emergencies Assist supervisors with scheduling updates and officer assignments Support training by reinforcing policies, procedures, and communication protocols V. Policy & Compliance Follow all Metro Protection Services policies, post orders, and standard operating procedures Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company, employee, and client information Ensure compliance with state, local, and company regulations Maintain constant radio, phone, and digital communication with officers in the field Monitor officer safety, location, and status during shifts Escalate emergencies and critical incidents to supervisors and management as required Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Prior experience in law enforcement, security, dispatching, or related fields is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and calmly under pressure. Excellent report writing abilities for documenting incidents accurately. Ability to manage conflicts effectively and demonstrate conflict resolution skills. Familiarity with security protocols, emergency procedures, and law enforcement procedures is preferred. Demonstrated attention to detail and situational awareness in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work flexible hours including shifts that may include nights or weekends if required. This role is essential in maintaining a safe environment through vigilant monitoring, effective dispatching, and professional communication.
