Job Description
District Sales Manager - Fluid Process Systems and ProductsSunSource and its family of companies represent 270+ locations and 4,000+ employees making up one of North America's leading value-add industrial distribution companies. We provide customers with products and value-added solutions within Fluid Power, Fluid Process, Fluid Conveyance, General Industrial Components, and Industrial Repair. www.sun-source.com We are seeking a driven and strategic sales leader to lead an established team covering the Upper Midwest region. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day sales activities, develop high-performing Account Managers, and drive profitable growth across Fluid Process markets including fluid handling, filtration, and process systems.
This position is based in the Great Lakes region and requires approximately 50% travel.
Essential FunctionsLead, coach, and develop a team of 8 Account ManagersDrive growth in revenue, market share, and profitabilityDevelop and execute district and territory sales plansSupport prospecting, customer engagement, quoting, and closing activitiesMonitor team performance and implement improvement plans when neededBuild strong supplier and customer relationshipsPartner with internal teams on inventory and strategic initiativesReview forecasts, sales reports, and performance metricsExperience, Education and SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent is requiredBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Sales, or related is preferred5+ years of distribution sales experience of industrial components. Experience selling components and services within Fluid Process markets (fluid systems, fluid handling, fluid filtration, etc.) is highly preferred 3+ years of supervisory / management experience of an outside sales team Demonstrated ability to successfully lead, motivate, develop, and manage a sales team to profitable sales growthAbility to drive productivity improvement and help account managers achieve higher sales levelsP&L familiarity, including the ability to work with and/or produce budgets, forecasts, sales reports, etc.
Must have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated strategic thinking skillsComputer proficiency is required including MS Office and the ability to learn and use a CRM system. Must have a valid driver's licenseOvernight travel will be required Why SunSource?
