Job Description

Overview Join our team as a DMV Clerk and become a vital part of ensuring smooth and efficient motor vehicle services for the community. In this energetic role, you will handle a variety of administrative and customer service duties at the Department of Motor Vehicles, providing essential support to both customers and staff. Your enthusiasm, organizational skills, and communication abilities will help streamline processes, assist with licensing and registration services, and promote a positive experience for all visitors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your attention to detail and proactive approach make a real difference. Responsibilities Assist customers with licensing, registration, title transfers, and other DMV transactions in a friendly and professional manner Verify customer documents, process payments accurately using cash handling and retail math skills, and issue licenses or permits efficiently Manage appointment scheduling, walk-in queues, and maintain organized records of transactions using administrative experience Provide clear information about DMV services, answer questions via phone etiquette, and guide customers through complex procedures with excellent communication skills Maintain inventory control of forms, supplies, and equipment to ensure operational readiness at all times Enforce compliance with state regulations and safety protocols during all customer interactions Support outreach efforts by explaining DMV programs or policies clearly to diverse audiences, including multilingual or bilingual customers Experience Previous experience in retail sales, automotive repair, or dealership environments is highly desirable Demonstrated success in customer service roles requiring strong communication skills and organizational abilities Familiarity with inventory management systems or administrative processes is beneficial Experience with outbound sales or public speaking can enhance your ability to engage effectively with the public Knowledge of retail math, cashiering procedures, or high-end sales techniques is advantageous Bilingual skills are a plus for serving a diverse community effectively Prior experience in public service or government agencies will help you excel in this role Join us to deliver exceptional service while developing your skills in a fast-paced environment that values enthusiasm, professionalism, and community engagement!
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
