Dog Bather

Job Summary The Dog Bather is responsible for preparing dogs for grooming by bathing, drying, brushing, and assisting our groomers. This role is ideal for someone who loves dogs, has a positive attitude, and is interested in building a career in the pet care industry. Responsibilities Bathe dogs using appropriate shampoos and conditioners Blow dry and brush coats thoroughly Clean ears and trim nails (training provided if needed) Assist groomers with handling dogs and preparing them for grooming Monitor dogs for signs of stress and ensure their comfort and safety Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area Wash towels and clean grooming equipment Communicate with team members regarding coat condition, matting, and skin concerns Provide excellent care and attention to every pet Qualifications Previous dog bathing or animal handling experience preferred, but not required Comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Passion for animal care Preferred Skills Nail trimming and ear cleaning experience Knowledge of different coat types Interest in learning grooming techniques and advancing to a grooming position Schedule Weekdays and Saturdays may be required Full-time and part-time positions available Growth Opportunities We believe in promoting from within.
