The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering exceptional grooming experiences. Your role will involve working closely with pets and their owners to meet their grooming needs in a safe and friendly environment. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. Maintain cleanliness in the grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any observations about their health or behavior. Provide additional services such as ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and skin treatments as needed. Keep accurate records of services performed on each pet for future reference. Collaborate with team members to create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Requirements Previous experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, or animal handling is preferred. Strong knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming requirements. Ability to handle animals safely, including those that may be anxious or aggressive. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members. Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods while grooming pets. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care. Certification in pet grooming or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
