Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized License Office Clerk to join our team and support the efficient operation of our licensing department. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, manage essential clerical tasks, and ensure accurate processing of licensing documents. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help streamline office functions, enhance customer support, and maintain compliance with licensing regulations. With advancement possible to become the License Office Manager Responsibilities Greet visitors professionally at the front desk, providing excellent customer service and directing inquiries appropriately Answer and manage multi-line phone systems with courtesy, clarity, and efficiency Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other office management tools Process licensing applications, renewals, and related documentation with precision and adherence to procedures Manage filing systems, both physical and digital, ensuring documents are organized, accessible, and up-to-date Assist with bookkeeping tasks using Microsoft software to track payments, fees, and financial records Proofread correspondence and official documents to ensure accuracy before submission or distribution Handle clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, proofreading forms, and maintaining office supplies Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while managing inquiries via front desk or multi-line phone systems Assist with City duties as directed Experience Prior office experience in administrative or clerical roles is highly preferred Proven experience with office management tasks including filing, data entry, and customer support Familiarity with bookkeeping software is advantageous Strong computer literacy skills across Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment Demonstrated proficiency in typing quickly and accurately while maintaining attention to detail Experience in handling multi-line phone systems and providing exceptional customer service is essential Knowledge of licensing procedures or government office operations is beneficial but not mandatory Join us in this rewarding role where your organizational talents will make a meaningful difference!
