Job Summary This position will be at the Louisville Plant location. Primary responsibility for this role is to operate a mechanical dredge to produce sand products. Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Consistent and reliable attendance is required. $2500.00 HIRING BONUS! Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Operate a motorboat in a safe manner to be able to get to and from the dredge. Inspect and lubricate all moving parts of the dredge before operation begins and during dredging. Secures dredge upon completion of shift. Fill out daily inspection sheets. Positions dredge with hydraulic swing winches to start and then again during dredging. Primes main pump, check packing on pumps and adjusts as needed. Monitor all gauges, communicate with plant operator to keep the best load possible going to the plant without overloading the plant. Observe and listen to operation of equipment to detect malfunctions. Communicate with Plant Operator and/or Plant Leadman before making adjustments and repairs, if needed. As needed, use a skid-loader and/or loader to work around the plant and dredge. Notifies appropriate personnel of any problems and assures the next shift operator is informed of plant status. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED; and Previous experience operating heavy equipment; or An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Certificates, Licenses None Skills and Abilities Ability to occasionally lift/move between 25-50 pounds.
