Full-time, Permanent About the Opportunity Synergy Employment Group is partnering with a leading food production facility in Clayton, DE to hire a Drinking Water Technician / Operator to support on-site water systems and environmental compliance. This role is ideal for candidates with a Drinking Water License who want to expand their experience in a dynamic, high-demand facility. While experience in wastewater is a plus, this position places a strong focus on drinking water system operations, monitoring, and compliance . Why This Role Stands Out Consistent full-time hours with significant overtime potential Peak season (July-November): Earn 20-32 hours of overtime weekly Opportunity to grow within environmental and water system operations Key Responsibilities (Drinking Water Focus) Operate, monitor, and maintain drinking water treatment and distribution systems Conduct routine water sampling and testing to ensure regulatory compliance Track system performance through flow readings, chemical levels, and reporting Troubleshoot and maintain pumps, valves, and treatment equipment Support environmental compliance efforts across water systems (including stormwater and wastewater as needed) Assist with spray irrigation systems tied to water management processes

Requirements Licensing:

Delaware Drinking Water Operator License (Level 1+) preferred (Candidates with a Wastewater License are also encouraged to apply) High School Diploma or GED Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to work in industrial environments (heat, cold, noise) Physically able to stand/walk 5.5+ hours/day and lift up to 50 lbs

Compensation & Schedule Pay:

$21.96 - $24.57 per hour

Off-Season:

Standard 40-hour work weeks Peak Season (July-November): 60-72 hours per week with substantial overtime
