Duties Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and dump trucks to deliver freight across designated routes Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment like forklifts or roll-off trucks while adhering to safety protocols Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries while adjusting for traffic or weather conditions as needed Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries Follow all safety guidelines related to manual transmission driving, load securement, and handling specialized freight such as refrigerated or tanker loads Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle types operated Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles with a strong understanding of shifting techniques Experience handling various types of freight such as freight loads on flatbeds or refrigerated goods in temperature-controlled trailers Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using forklifts or other loading equipment when necessary Knowledge of safety procedures related to driving large trucks like tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, or dump trucks Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate logs and inspection reports Join us as we drive toward excellence!
