Driver Logs Manager
JACKSON MS TOTAL TERMINAL
Monday-Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm
Compensation Range:
$43,000 - $64,600

What You'll Do:
Responsible for managing the activities and staff of the Driver Logs team within the Safety Department to ensure TTMS drivers maintain compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and company policies. Provides support and assistance to all TTMS departments in efforts to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. Supervise and develop staff. Work with Senior Manager and VP to establish KPIs for the Driver Log team. Ensure KPIs are established for each employee. Regularly monitor and report on actual vs. targeted results. Establish programs and procedures to effectively monitor and manage Hours of Service compliance. Develop and provide compliance reporting for use by all levels within the organization. Specific focus on senior management/executive-level reporting. Administer disciplinary actions with drivers according to established protocols. Actions can include counseling, probation, suspension and/or termination. Design, develop and administer training programs for drivers, Operations, and other support teams to facilitate their understanding of Hours-of-Service regulations and TTMS safety/compliance programs and procedures. Travel to TTMS locations as necessary to conduct compliance audits, driver counseling, and training. Serve as liaison to the third-party vendors/suppliers that provide products and services used in our HOS compliance program management efforts. Ensure suppliers are fulfilling contractual obligations and adapt to changes necessitated by changes in our business needs. Monitor regulatory activity and implement program changes in accordance with new or altered regulations. Maintain regulatory expertise through independent study and participation in various industry events. Facilitate driver safety and compliance projects, as well as monitor progress on other departmental projects and priorities. Work with drivers and staff when safety/compliance issues need to be addressed. Monitor progress of drivers and staff who have been assigned additional training or performance improvement assignments. Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
Education Any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to a two-year degree. Experience 3 years of progressive experience in transportation safety-related positions. 1 year of experience managing a team. Experience in Transportation strongly preferred. Skills/Certifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.) Advanced knowledge of DOT Regulations, with emphasis on Hours of Service Why Total?
