Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Education & Vocational Program Specialist to support students at Double R Ranch as they work toward completing high school credits, preparing for the Hi-SET equivalency exam , and developing practical job skills for long-term success. This part-time, morning role is ideal for an educator, academic advisor, or adult education professional who is passionate about helping students overcome barriers and move toward self-sufficiency in a mission-centered environment. This is a full-time role at our DRR Ranch location in 19292 El Toro Rd, Silverado, CA 92676 .
What You'll Do:
Academic Support & Counseling Provide individualized academic advising and educational counseling Assist students in completing high school coursework and required credits Prepare and support students for the Hi-SET equivalency exam Monitor academic progress and maintain accurate student records Create a safe, supportive environment where students feel encouraged and respected Vocational Program Development Help develop and administer vocational certificate programs under Mission University Align vocational certificates with student job assignments at Double R Ranch Support implementation of training pathways that prepare students for employment Track participation and completion of vocational programs
Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree (BA)
Experience:
2-3 yrs of job related work experience.
Communication Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Math Skills:
Intermediate:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
Reasoning:
Intermediate Skills:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
