JOB ANNOUNCEMENT ENOTAH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT ACCOUNTABILITY COURT

Accountability Court Drug Screeners Recruitment Period:
Open until filled
Salary:
$30 per hour. This is a grant-funded, contract position. No benefits are available.
Time:
6:30 AM - 8:30 AM weekdays and holidays at the treatment office located in Blairsville, GA; schedules vary . Position Summary The function of the drug screeners is to provide the Enotah Accountability Courts with timely, supervised drug screens of participants. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following are normal for this position and are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. This position works directly under the supervision of the coordinators and assists with supervising drug screen collections. Drug screeners are expected to observe drug screen collections, enter drug screen results after each screening session, communicate regularly with coordinators, send drug screens for laboratory testing, and attend training on various drug screen collection methods as needed. Desirable Knowledge and Skills
  • Skill in interpersonal communications in a collaborative format.
  • Considerable skill in timeliness and organization
  • Skill in accurately reading drug screen results, documenting behaviors, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Considerable skill in adherence to the policy and procedures and standard operating procedures set forth for the accountability court drug screeners.
  • Considerable skill with being detail oriented.
  • Considerable skill in working independently in a fast paced, stressful environment.
Minimum Training and Experience Required A high school diploma is minimum. Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, or related field is preferred. Familiarity of Standards for Georgia Accountability Courts is preferred. Additional Requirements The position requires a valid Georgia Driver's License and private vehicle for travel. Applicant will be required to pass a background check as a condition of employment which will include a criminal records check, driving history, drug testing, and past employer checks.
