Job Description

Company Overview Lamoille County Mental Health Services (LCMHS) is a designated community mental health agency dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health, developmental, behavioral, and family support services. Established in 1966, we serve over 1,000 individuals annually, emphasizing community-based care and support to foster health and wellness. Job Summary DS Community Transportation Specialist provides transportation services and support to persons with developmental disabilities. the Transportation Specialist helps promote the development and growth of practical life skills, including self-advocacy, socialization, and the adaptive skills by transporting clients in the community. Transportation Specialist staff will be provided ongoing training and support. This role will provide the use of an agency van during work hours. A valid driver's license is required. Duties Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance tasks to ensure safety and operational readiness. Assist with lifting when loading or unloading equipment or supplies related to transportation activities. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with organizational policies. Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate schedules and address any transportation concerns promptly. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations diligently to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users.
