Job Description
Our Maintenance and Operations Division is looking to add a short term (3-months) Stationary Engineer 2 to our team at the Yakima Valley School in Selah! Our Yakima Valley School is a certified nursing facility recognized for quality medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy, and psychiatric services and other programs. As a Stationary Engineer 2, you'll perform skilled engineering and repair work related to boiler and HVAC operations. You will be responsible for overall safe and efficient operation and maintenance of high-pressure steam plant, consisting of two high-pressure boilers with up to 150 boiler horse power each. This role is essential for maintaining a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for our residents and staff. Who should apply:
Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and/or repair of stationary (or marine) high-pressure boilers and heating systems. Or Certificate of completion of an advanced Stationary Engineer course from an accredited vocational/technical school or community college. And, two years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and/or repair of stationary (or marine) high-pressure boilers and heating systems. Or One year of State service as a Stationary Engineer 1.Note:
Must be able to produce paperwork that shows you have three years of experience in the operations, maintenance, and repair of a boiler plant. Some of what you will do: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of HVAC and boiler systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Monitor system performance.
