Assist supervisor in efficient operation of the Laundry Department.Supervises, directs, assists, and monitors performance of all Laundry staff to ensure the proper completion of Laundry tasks.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø Endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values Ø Count items for the day and inventory outgoing items Ø Remove all foreign material from linen Ø Dispose of foreign material in accordance with established procedures Ø Sort soiled laundry based on type and degree of stain Ø Inspect all linen for quality Ø Check for wrinkles and stains Ø Pull/push full or empty laundry tubs Ø Complete all necessary paper work in a timely manner Ø Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all timesJOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES--SUPERVISOR
Ø Serve as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication Ø Coach and develop employees using a consistent, approachable demeanor while clearly articulating expectations Ø Provide direction and support for all staff members to achieve department goals and objectives Ø Ensure all laundry staff are well trained with an emphasis on detail to provide service levels consistent with the established concept for the Hotel service Ø Assign laundry staff daily tasks while maintaining the exceptional quality standards set forth by the department. Ø Follow inventory and purchasing procedures in order to achieve budgeted expenses Ø Follow and enforce security and safety guidelines are in place Ø Assure production quality meets or exceeds Harrah's Cherokee Standards Ø Conduct monthly linen inventories and maintains acceptable PAR levels of linen and terry Ø Schedule to meet and maintain efficient staffing levels Ø Supervise the process for discarding stained and soiled linens and terry Ø Understand and support the preventative maintenance and timely repair to all operating equipment Ø Ensure timely and accurate work history entries are completed Ø Must be able to drive laundry truck in absence of Laundry Attendant Driver Ø Adhere to regulator, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical mannerMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ø High school diploma or GED required Ø One year experience in hospitality or commercial laundry required Ø One year supervisory experience preferred Ø Valid N.C driver's license with not more than 3 or more moving violations or traffic citations in the past 3 years required Ø Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills: Ø Strong oral and written communication skills Ø Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills Ø Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and JD Edwards, and Kronos Ø Neat, well groomed appearance with excellent personal hygiene Ø Self-starter; must work without close supervision Ø Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ø Ability to operate laundry equipment (washers, dryers, folders and sorters)PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Ø Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, grip items and assist in maintaining laundry equipment Ø Must be able to be on feet for 8 hour shift Ø Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry 5 pounds Ø Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues Ø Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English Ø Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illuminations, vibrations, crowds and air quality including second hand smoke Ø Must be able to work in small, shared office space Ø Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job.
