Job Description

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE BOTH A CDL
Driving License with a passenger endorsement and at least a 25 Ton US Coast Guard Captains License.
JOB SUMMARY
Navigate Amphibious vehicles through the city streets of Ketchikan and the Tongass Narrows while conducting 90-minute tours. 5 Month Season (May-September), furnished housing is included. Responsibilities A professionally qualified, experienced tradesperson as well as a commander of a vessel. As a captain, your main objectives are to complete a vehicle inspection of the Amphibious vehicles every morning before arriving at the dock, oversee the safety of your passengers and crew, and navigate the roads and narrows of Ketchikan during your assigned tours within the allotted time frame. Be informative, pleasant, and upbeat as you interact with your passengers. Other duties include -but are not limited to giving the safety speech at the onset of each tour, informing passengers of the merchandise sold on board, answering questions, helping passengers onto and off of the Amphibious vehicles. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and
ABILITIES
Complete vehicle inspection every morning and every evening. Safely navigate city streets and waterways of Ketchikan and the Tongass Narrows Provide accurate passenger counts and maintain precise ticket counts. Keep open radio communication with management and assist with the departure of the Amphibious vehicles . Convey a sense of professionalism in both demeanor and appearance. Possess excellent customer service skills.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a 25 ton US Coast Guard Master's license and a CDL w/Passenger Endorsement, CPR/First Aid Certification, Medical Examiner's certificate, Marine Radio Operators Permit, & provide a copy of a current DMV Record. Must be able to assist in safety drills and vehicle inspections. Must pass a drug test before employment and at random throughout the entire season.
