Searching fo r loving, experienced teachers for ages 12mos - 5 years Please read the job description closely. Job Description - We are seeking experienced childcare teachers for a church preschool and child development center. We have positions that are 40 hours per week, with full benefits package include fully paid healthcare for employees, life, ADD, LTD insurance, generous paid vacation and sick leave as well as paid holidays Qualified applicants Associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field (preferred) Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or Child Development Center setting (Preferred) Has a current TB test completed by a medical professional within 12 months of start date Current physical completed by a medical professional within 12 months of start date. A criminal background check completed by the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) SIDS training (or willingness to obtain) Personal Traits/Disposition Christian values and faith Good understanding of the emotional needs of children 0-5 years Understanding the needs of parents Adequate knowledge in child development and early education best practices Adequate knowledge of principles and policies of safety and suitable activities for children Ability to create a fun, engaging and safe learning environment. Strong time management skills Ability to hold confidence Strong Communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations. Specific Responsibilities Follow our provided Curriculum to foster learning in various areas such as language development, early literacy, numeracy, motor skills and social-emotional growth. Integrate Christian values into daily activities, such as praying with children, teaching Bible stories and encouraging kindness and respect. Develop and promote activities created to enhance mental, physical and social development like storytelling, arts and crafts, playing games and music Follow the classroom daily schedule and school policies regarding engagement with children. Observe, assess, and document the developmental progress of each child, including their academic growth and spiritual development. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding children's progress, and behavior. Create a nurturing and safe classroom environment where children feel loved, valued, and supported in their spiritual, emotional, and academic growth. Be able to always monitor children in your care regardless of circumstances and activity. Be able to manage urgent situations and emergencies. Be Creative! Be willing to be Silly and find ways to engage young children and hold their attention! Physical Requirements Lifting and holding up to 30 lbs. regularly (such as lifting children, cleaning, or arranging classroom materials) Ability to engage in physical activities with children, such as sitting on the floor, standing up quickly and standing for extended periods, facilitating indoor and outdoor play, as well as bending, stooping and reaching. Center Hours are 7a to 5:30pm , Shifts will vary within those hours. Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check through the Division of Child Development, NC.
