From large-scale lakeshore restorations on Lake Minnetonka to high-visibility public natural areas, our work blends client goals, site conditions, ecology, design, and craftsmanship. We're growing—and we're looking for a Project Leader who's ready to step into a key field leadership role, take ownership of meaningful projects, and help shape the next generation of restoration professionals. Your Key Responsibilities You'll be trusted to think, adapt, and lead and grow professionally.
You will:
Lead a 5-person field crew installing high-quality ecological restoration projects around the Twin Cities Metro Area Make real-time decisions in the field regarding
  • site preparation, invasive plant control, seeding and planting methods, design adjustments Own project execution from mobilization through installation Train and mentor staff, helping entry-level technicians build real ecological restoration skills Work directly with clients (homeowners, businesses, agencies) as the face of the company on-site Operate restoration equipment (trucks-trailers, UTVs, saws, sprayers, etc.
) Apply your plant knowledge daily—this is a hands-on applied ecology position Keep projects organized and documented, ensuring high-quality outcomes that exceed client goals What Makes This Role Attractive Visible, meaningful work

  • You'll take part in producing high-quality, locally grown native plant material Growth path
  • Clear trajectory toward Senior Project Manager / Ecologist roles What You Bring 2+ years of hands-on natural resources or restoration field experience Strong native and invasive plant ID skills Experience leading or mentoring crews (formal or informal) Ability to work hard in the field—this is a physically demanding, outdoor role Comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently Valid driver's license and ability to haul trailers/equipment Herbicide application experience (or willingness to quickly become licensed) A degree in ecology, environmental science, or similar is helpful—but real, quality field experience matters more.
Compensation & Benefits $50,000
